Matt Lauria is an actor and musician. Beginning his acting journey by playing the role in the NBC sitcom 30 Rock in 2007, he rose to stardom and gained widespread attention after his marvelous performance in the NBC drama Friday Night Lights . He was also a member of the cast of Parenthood as well as hit TV series Kingdom .
Early life and childhood of Matt Lauria
Matt Lauria was born on June 22, 1982 in Virginia to an entertainer and artist father and a mother who was a nurse. He has American nationality. Lauria and his family moved to Ireland when he was seven years old. He spent his childhood days in Dublin with his two brothers.
Later, Matt moved back to the United States to attend high school. Matt joined the University of North Carolina School of the Arts at the theater conservatory and received formal acting training from him. Matt is known to have a degree in drama.
Matt Lauria’s Career
Matt Lauria began his acting career appearing in the 2005 short film Raccoon as the character Sam Roxbury. Just weeks after landing in New York, Lauria landed a guest-starring role as the character Winthrop on the NBC comedy series. 30 Rock . Later in 2008, he appeared in an episode of Law & Order . He then starred in 13 episodes of the NBC romantic comedy. Jungle Lipstick as the character Roy Merritt.
His wife Armstrong is represented by the record label Playing in Traffic Records and Loophole Management. Despite their long marital journey, they do not have any children. And it’s been over a decade that the couple lives happily without divorce rumors.
Lauria is also an avid electric guitarist as well as being an exceptional actor.
