MATT GRAHAM: EARLY CHILDHOOD AND EDUCATION

Matt Graham was born in 1974 in Utah. Growing up, he was keen to understand Native American life. At age 7, he found a book that helped him understand their way of life and his curiosity kept growing. Graham started looking at the primitive tools of those years and wanted to master their lifestyle and tool use.

At the age of 15, Matt had a fire in his heart for adventure and he was already climbing peaks and training for a triathlon. In an interview, he tells how he fell in love with the mountains and the forest. It was the family vacations spent in a cabin in the mountains that started her love for nature.

Matt doesn’t find modern life appealing and feels he lacks contact with nature. He wanted to discover more about nature, trees, animals and plants. At 23, he managed to set a record for covering 1,700 miles after crossing the California Ridge in 58 days.

MATT GRAHAM: CAREER

Matt for many years now has been an expert in primitive survival. Yes, it’s a job. Each year, he spends almost 6 months in the forests, exploring the wilderness and living amidst the dangers that nature presents.

Like Parker’s Bec, he works for the Discovery Channel for one of their shows. He is a co-host of the Dude Channel’s reality show, You’r Screwed. He was, however, famous as the co-host of the survival show Dual Survival. For the show, he has made guest appearances in past years and in 3 consecutive seasons. He is also the cast of Live Free or Die, a show on the Nat Geo network.

Over the years, Matt has been a man of many skills. He uses primitive weapons and is frankly an expert in survival. According to reports, Matt is also a martial arts professional like Jodo and TaeKowndo. This skill set comes in handy for Matt when shooting in the forests.

Graham was heavily influenced by his childhood and constantly seeks adventure. Fortunately for him, he was able to live a career alongside nature. He lives in the woods for most of his life. He has a bow and arrow which he uses to hunt animals. Graham is extremely tough when hunting and also uses many different primitive tools. He also enjoys fishing and enjoys being part of all things adventurous.
