Mary Tsoni
Mary Tsoni was one of the protagonists of “Canino”. The police found the 30-year-old actress dead at her home in Athens, after a call from a neighbor of hers, on May 8, 2017, without specifying the causes of her death. .
Born in Livadia, in 1987, Marry Tsoni started in show business as a singer for the punk band Mary and the Boy. She retrained as an actress for the Greek B-series film To kako , about an invasion of zombies, which had no impact outside the country, but was successful there to the point that it had a sequel, where she reprized her role.
Yorgos Lanthimos noticed her for Canino , where she was the youngest daughter of a family confined in a compound fenced off by her parents, so that she could grow up with her siblings without outside influence.
