She is a very young actress, but little by little she is beginning to become a more or less well-known face for her work in films like Death Proof , or for playing Bruce Willis’s daughter in The Jungle 4.0 . Her great specialty at the moment is horror movies.

Born in Rocky Mount, North Carolina, on November 28, 1984, Mary Elizabeth Winstead is reportedly a very distant cousin of the legendary Ava Gardner . From a very young age she began to be interested in art and ballet. She had the opportunity to study dance thanks to a summer program at the prestigious Joffrey Ballet School in New York. From that moment, she realized that she loved being part of a show, and she decided to become an actress.

At the end of the 90s, the young Mary Elizabeth began to try her luck in the field of television, and made her debut in the series Touched by an Angel . Soon after, she played a small role in the teen comedy Sky High , and played the young Sissy Spacek in The Ring 2 . She seemed to like the experience of going through horror movies, as she was next one of the girls haunted by death in Final Destination 3 , and she was also part of the cast of Black Christmas .

Death Proof , by Quentin Tarantino , also belonged to this genre , where she was a girl abandoned by the rest of her companions, when they were going to take revenge on the murderous motorist played by Kurt Russell .

Mary Elizabeth Winstead appeared briefly in the excellent drama Bobby , although her most successful work has been The Jungle 4.0 , where she was the daughter of Bruce Willis . She did not have as much commercial impact Scott Pilgrim against the world , a tribute to the world of video games, where she changed her look and hairstyle all the time. After that she has decided to return to terror, as she stars in The Thing , a new, rather late installment of The Thing , shot by John Carpenter in 1982.

Lucky in the movies, she is also lucky in love, as she got married on October 9, 2010, with Riley Stearns, a young and promising television series writer.
