Biography and Lifestyle of Marwan Khoury

Marwan Khoury (Arabic: مروان خوري ‎) was born on February 3, 1968 in Mazra’et El Teffah, Lebanon. He comes from a Christian family. He is the third of five children born to Tanyous and Naseema Khoury.

He is a Lebanese singer, writer, composer and musical arranger . He has composed for the biggest names in music in the Arab world, such as Majda Al Roumi, Saber Rebai, Najwa Karam and Elissa…

Marwan Khoury studied musicology, music history and piano in 1986 at the University of the Holy Spirit of Kalik (USEK) in Lebanon.

Two years later, in 1988, he himself produced a composition “Kasak Habibi”.

From 1989 to 1996, Marwan Khoury began his professional career as a keyboardist. He had the chance to play alongside several Lebanese celebrities.

It was not until 2002 that Marwan Khoury finally released his first album titled “Khayal El Omer” with his first music video for the song “Ya Shoq”. This well elaborated work earned him a gold medal in 2003, at the Murex ceremony in Beirut.

In 2005, Marwan Khoury signed a five-year contract with Rotana Records. He also released his album, Kil Al Asayed (كل القصايد) which made a huge hit.

In January 2011, Khoury announced that his contract with Rotana Records had ended and he would move into self-production.

Recognized for his magical voice, his immense talent, his particular sensitivity and his unique style, Marwan Khoury continues, at 50, to put his artistic touch in the sector and to be at the top of sales.
