CAREER OF MARTIN CLUNES

Clunes got his first television role as one of the sons in the BBC sitcom No Place Like Home and went on to star in two series of the sitcom All at No 20. He played the role of Group Captain Barker in the two-part television miniseries. Over Here and also played Dick Dobson in Demob about a pair of discharged soldiers who must adapt to civilian life after entertaining World War II troops with a steamy cabaret act, in 1993.

Since 1994 he has appeared regularly on BBC One’s Have I Got News for You as a panelist or guest presenter. In 1998 he was included in Sweet Revenge and appeared as Richard Burbage in the film Shakespeare in Love. He has also performed for radio on several occasions, including an appearance on BBC Radio 4’s Baldi series.
