American businessman and investor Mark Cuban is known as the owner of the NBA’s Dallas Mavericks and co-owner of 2929 Entertainment . He is also the president of AXS TV. Also, as the main ‘shark’ investors on the ABC reality television series, Shark Tank . The 61-year-old Cuban also wrote an e-book titled How to win in the sport of business where he talks about his experiences in sports and business.

As of January 2020, Cuban owns $4.1 billion as a net worth.

Who is Mark Cuban?

Mark Cuban was born on July 31, 1958 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, United States of America under the birth sign Leo. He is of White-American ethnicity and is American by his nationality.

Cuban is the son of Norton Cuban , an automobile upholsterer, and Shirley Cuban . His parents raised him with his brother, Brian Cuban in a Jewish family in the Pittsburgh suburb of Mount Lebanon.

Cuban entered the business world at the age of 12 when he sold garbage bags to pay for expensive pairs of basketball shoes. While in high school, he earned money by becoming a coin and stamp dealer. During his junior year of high school, he began taking psychology classes at the University of Pittsburgh. Later, he skipped his senior year and joined the university full time.

After a few months at the University of Pittsburgh, he transferred to Indiana University. In order to earn money for his tuition, he began giving dance lessons which led him to throwing lavish disco parties at the Bloomington National Guard Armory.

Mark Cuban’s life has been full of surprises and opportunities. He started out as a bartender and no one would have imagined that he would be so big in his life. After that, he started working as a software salesman.

Cuban was fired from that job and this could be your luck to start a new beginning. He later started his own consulting company called MicroSolutions and this is where he started. His skills helped him earn a lot of money from his company. But in 1990, he sold it to CompuServe for $6 million.

The husband and wife couple have a total of three children two daughters Alexis Cubana (2003), & Alyssa Cubana (2006) and a son Jake Cubana (2010).

Cuban once told Business Insider that he and his wife have a babysitter, but are still involved in raising the children.

We have a babysitter. Unless it’s the night of a Mavs game and Tiff and I go to a game, they’re out for 6 or 7 and then it’s the real world. On the weekends we have someone in the morning, so Tiff and I go to work out on Saturday mornings. Then the rest of the weekend is just us. It’s us to put them to bed. It’s us at dinner. We try to be as normal as possible.

He and his wife spend their free time with their children. The couple have been together for a decade and a half and still share such a wonderful marital relationship without any such rumors of divorce. Mark often attends functions with his wife and children.

Along with his family, Cuban currently resides in Dallas, Texas, United States.

Controversy

In 2011, Cuban was charged with sexual assault. The victim accused him of sexually groping her while they were at a nightclub posing for a click. Although one of the detectives deemed one of the images ‘significant’, no charges were filed. In addition, the NBA also fined him $1.665 million for his critical statement.
