Marisa Porcel
Pepa and Avelino conquered the hearts of television audiences in Spain in 2007 with “Escenas de matrimonio”. The actress who played the protagonist died at the age of 74, on August 15, 2018. “One of those ‘character’ actresses that we will miss… RIP”, explains the MadridEsTeatro portal, which has reported on the death. “I just found out about the death of Marisa Porcel, one of the actresses we’ve had the most fun working with. Thank you for all those moments on and off the set, so I work so well done,” says Alberto Caballero, one of the creators of fiction.
Born in Tarazona (Zaragoza) on November 15, 1943, Marisa Porcel Montijano was the daughter of Pedro Porcel Barés and Asunción Montijano García. From a very young age, she began to go on stage, with the company of Isabel Garcés, the María Guerrero Theater and the Spanish Theater. She made her film debut in 1966 with Las viudas , by Julio Coll , followed by titles like La prima Angélica , by Carlos Saura , or ¿Quién puede matar a un niño? by Chicho Ibáñez Serrador .
Despite the fact that she was a regular face on the small screen, as she was, for example, the aunt of Neleta ( Victoria Vera ) in the popular Cañas y barro , or participated in Estudio 1 and Médico de familia , Marisa Porcel did not become famous until it came to her . the character of Pepa, the archetype of a Spanish wife with personality, which she began to interpret in Noche de fiesta , a program directed by José Luis Moreno . It caused such a furor that the ventriloquist produced his own series for Telecinco, which despite not convincing the critics, swept audience data. Her dialogues were not very elaborate, but they were devastating:
–Avelino, you are like a teddy bear.
Why, Pepe?
–Because you’re in the ornamental bed!
Antena 3 takes advantage of the very low salary of the protagonists of the series, signing the actress and her partner, Pepe Ruiz , for La familia Mata . She subsequently appeared in productions such as La que se avecina , also by Moreno, where she played a nun.
The daughter of the interpreter Paloma Porcel has followed in her professional footsteps, as she works as a dubbing actress, voicing Sarah Jessica Parker, and has taken part in series such as Medical Center .
