1. Cilic’s first steps on a tennis court came at the age of 7 when young Marin was playing with his cousin Tanja.
2. Growing up, his idols were Goran Ivanisevic and Ivan Ljubicic.
3. Marin respects Brazilian soccer superstars Kaka and Robinho.
4. Cilic enjoys watching triple jump and high jump competitions.
5. Because of Marin’s potential as a kid, his hometown coaches suggested that he move to Zagreb so he could train better and harder.
