Mariem Ben Hussein  ( مريم بن حسين ) is a Tunisian actress, television and radio host best known for playing the role of Malek Néji in Sami Fehri’s television series Maktoub . Mariem began to write as a journalist in parallel with her studies in journalism and communication, after January 14, the young woman began a career as a radio host on the airwaves of Express FM , Kalima and Cap FM for which she produced cultural and political programs. In 2015, she performed the role of Baya, a dancer of the Jewish faith, in the series  Histoires Tunisienes. Meriam Ben Hussein is the face of LELLA, a Tunisian brand of cosmetic products. She is also the face of the Palais de L’Artisan, an arts and crafts supply store.

She became known as a public figure especially in 2013 thanks to her role in the third season of Maktoub produced by Cactus production and directed by television host and producer Sami Fehri.

She is on the cover of the Tunisian magazine  E-jeune , she also appears on the front page of the July issue. She is on the cover of people magazine Tunivisions in September 2013 playing Cleopatra of modern times
