Maria Ysabella Ysmael (born August 8, 1996) is a Filipino model from the Philippines. She rose to fame after participating in Miss Universe Philippines 2020.
It is the first version of the Miss Universe Philippines competition. Previously, the Philippine Miss Universe right-hander was under Binibining Pilipinas Charities, Inc.
Although, the coronation night was originally scheduled for May 3, 2020. But, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it was first postponed to June 14, 2020.
First Runner Up at Miss Universe Philippines 2020
The final contest was held on October 25, 2020. Cordillera Convention Hall, Baguio Country Club in Baguio is the venue where it was held and broadcast on GMA Network.
María Ysmael became the first finalist. She lost this competition to Rabiya Occeña Sundall Mateo from Iloilo City. Now, Rabiya will represent the Philippines in the Miss Universe 2020 pageant.
