MANUEL QUIJANO: HIS AGE, HIS PARTNER AND THE WOMAN FOR WHOM HE COMPOSED ‘LA LOLA’

Published

on

Born in 1967 in León, he was completely anonymous until in 1996 when he recorded his first demo with his brothers Óscar and Raúl, thanks to which the doors of the world of music were opened. La Lola became the song of that summer and was a resounding success in Latin America.

Although they are still active today and with ten albums behind them, between 2007 and 2010 they took a break. At that time Manuel began his solo career under the name of Quijano, recording two albums.

Manuel has had several appearances in films and series such as ‘Torrente 2’, ‘Police in the heart of the street’, ‘There is no one who lives here’ or ‘Caronte’.

MANUEL QUIJANO’S PARTNER

In 2008, he married the model Marta Llompart, from whom he divorced in 2014. Although he has not remarried, the truth is that his fame as a seducer is just a myth and right now he has a stable partner, although he prefers that remain anonymous and hardly share moments on social networks with her. For now he has not had children, but in an interview he has revealed that now he does want to be a father.

Another of his great loves was the ‘culprit’ of the song ‘La Lola’, the first great success of the group from León and which he composed for a woman who marked him. Her story was revealed in an interview in 2020 in the newspaper Las Provincias.

Lola was a false name to talk about a well-known television presenter with whom he fell in love only when he saw her on the screen, so he did not hesitate to call the staff of the program he was presenting to get her phone number. Incredible as it may seem, Manuel Quijano managed to make those celebrities fall in love with whom he has never wanted to name her and with whom he had a love story.
