Amanda Leigh Moore, better known as ‘Mandy’ was born on April 10, 1984 in Nashua (New Hampshire) into a Catholic family. From a very young age, she participated in theatrical productions of musicals, and sang the national anthem at different sporting events.
His talent for music did not go unnoticed by industry executives, who offered him a contract when he was 15 years old to release his first album, “So Real.” It was hugely successful, especially among teenagers. His subsequent albums, “I Wanna Be With You” and “Mandy Moore” also dominate.
The artist always had the concern of succeeding in the cinema, since she participated at the age of 12 in the science fiction film Street Rats , where she was in high school. After voicing a bear in Dr. Doolittle 2 , she got her big break when she played the cheerleader who berated Anne Hathaway , in Surprise Princess .
She left such a good taste in the mouth that she was quickly offered the lead role in the romantic A Walk to Remember , based on a novel by Nicholas Sparks . The films Enamórate and Todo lo que quiero belong to the same genre . She also played herself in the series El séquito , and was an aspiring singer in American Dreamz , a parody of the “American Idol” and “Operación Triunfo”-style shows that did not achieve the expected success.
She was also a high schooler in Romance & Cigarettes , a girlfriend in Till the Priest Do Us Part and one of Diane Keaton ‘s daughters in Because I Said So! , but these tapes were not well received either. In recent years, she has played a supporting role in Grey’s Anatomy and voiced the lead in the original version of Tangled .
Although the film Love, Wedding, Marriage is also pending release within the romantic genre, Mandy Moore is currently more focused on music, with more adult albums. In addition, she has married fellow singer Ryan Adams .
