“It’s hard to describe the feeling of representing your country. With the choice, no one would ever turn down this at such a big tournament. Little boy or little girl, you dream of these moments.
“I had been judged fit for the whole season, and given my injuries were being managed, what were the extra two weeks? Managing the pain, I was training well and found a lot of comfort in the English camp afterwards. the final of the Europa League.
