Man identified as Gbenro, in Ondo State, strangled his wife to death while she was asleep, and also threatens to kill his daughter.
The Ondo State Command has confirmed the arrest of the heartless man, who killed his wife while she was asleep, early hours of Tuesday morning at Salvation Army Street, Odojomu, Ondo, Akure.
Readnigerianetwork learnt that the culprit waited until night hour when his wife, Wayesola was asleep and strangled her to death as their daughter watches in fear.

However, the deceased daughter, Fayoke while narrating the incident to the police, said she got up to ease herself in the middle of the night only to see her father killing her mother, adding that she couldn’t do anything as he threatened to kill her.
Furthermore, she told the police authorities after her father was arrested, that she watched in great fear and rage as her father strangled her mother.
It was the cry of Fayoke that caught the attention of the neighbours, the neighbours on getting there found out that the deceased, Wayesola had died. Immediately they locked Mr Gbenro indoors to stop him from escaping, then they called the deceased’s brother.
The Ondo Police spokesperson, ASP Tee- Leo Ikoro, On his part, when contacted on the incident, said the matter has been transferred to the state CID for further investigation.
