Mamdouh usually trains at the Oxygen Gym in Kuwait and often works out for hours. His training routine and dedication to the basics have helped him chart his meteoric and spectacular rise.

For example, his usual chest workout has two complex movements and two isolation movements. However, he often tends to mix up the tempo of his sets. For example, he follows regular sets of superslow concentric and negative reps.

  • When it comes to splitting up the workout, he starts the week with a chest workout.
  • On Tuesdays he works on his quads and hamstrings.
  • On Wednesdays he concentrates on his delicacies.
  • The next day he trains his back muscles.
  • On Fridays he makes sure he works on improving his arms.
  • Weekends are usually free as he focuses on his recovery. However, there are occasions when he presses a workout focused on his hamstrings over the weekends.

  2. He spent many years in Kuwait working as a fisherman for the living.
  3. While living in Kuwait, he decided on a whim to do oxygen fitness. The impressive wins he was making in a short period of time caught the eye of gym owner and promoter Bader Bodai and took him under his tutelage.
  4. He began his bodybuilding journey in 2003. However, seven months later, he had to quit training after suffering a serious injury.
  5. Ahead of his first appearance at the Mr. Olympia competition, he received training and nutritional advice from IFBB Pro Dennis James.
  6. At the 2015 Mr. Olympia event, he set the record for being the heaviest bodybuilder to compete in the event. He also became the first contestant to weigh 316 pounds.
  7. In 2010 he started working as a personal trainer at Oxygen Gym in Kuwait.
