Malin Maria Akerman is a Swedish-Canadian actress, model and singer, best known for her role in the films The Utopian Society (2003) and Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle (2004). She walks the runway from time to time. She had a brief career in singing. She was the lead vocalist for the alternative rock band The Petalstones. However, she did not continue singing but acting, as she focused her career on acting.

However, her parents divorced after four years of moving to Canada, and her father returned to Sweden. Her parents remarried and from there she has a half brother and two half sisters. She stayed with her mother in Canada and grew up there.
