Little known facts

Majida El Roumi ‘s father , on the other hand, evolving himself in the field, is fiercely opposed to his daughter becoming a singer. but despite being banned by her father from participating in the talent show  Studio El Fan,  Majida , with the help of her cousin, joined the competition and finished in first position, picking up the gold medal after having literally dazzled the jury with her interpretation of  Ya Toyour ,  Ana Albi Dalili , and  Layali El Ouns Fi Vienna.

After this first victory, Majida El Roumi won another one of a completely different nature; her father grants her his blessing on the condition that she does not neglect her higher education. And it was in 1975, despite the war raging in Lebanon, that Majida obtained her degree in Arabic Literature from the Lebanese University.
