Born in the Bay City, of Michigan on August 16, 1958, Madonna grew up with her parent who are Catholic’s and other family members around. Her father emigrated with his parent when he was still a boy from Pacentro while her mother is of French-Canadian descent. Madonna was raised in the Detroit suburbs of Pontiac and Avon Township alongside her two older brothers.

In December 1, 1963, she lost her mother to cancer which later created the rift between her and her father who remarried after the death of the mother.
