Sanjay Dutt (1990-1993) – Rumors of a romance between co-stars Sanjay Dutt and Madhuri Dixit swirled in the media in the early 1990s. The two had acted in several films together and their on-screen chemistry had always grabbed eyeballs. Although the 1991 hit film Saajan increased the frenzy surrounding the two, neither of them confirmed their romance. Dutt, who was married to Richa Sharma at the time, was speculated to divorce her and marry Madhuri. In 1993, however, Dutt was arrested under TADA for illegal gun possession in connection with the Bombay explosions. It was revealed that Madhuri ended their relationship shortly after the incident.

  1. Madhuri started dancing at the age of 3 and received a Kathak dance scholarship when she was 9 years old. She studied Kathak for eight years and developed a lifelong passion for the art form.
  2. Her dancing skills have impressed many outstanding dancers, including Kathak exponent Pandit Birju Maharaj and legendary film choreographer Saroj Khan.
  3. Madhuri appeared in the first season of Kaun Banega Crorepati 2001. She donated her winnings of Rs. 5,000,000 between the victims of the 2001 Gujarat earthquake and an orphanage in Pune.
