The handsome heartthrob was born on April 13, 1935, in Kansas City, Kansas, United States. He was born as Lyle Wesley Waggoner, the son of parents Marie and Myron Waggoner. He grew up in Excelsior Springs, Missouri with his parent. There is no information that he has siblings.

Looking at his education, he attended and graduated in 1953 from Kirkwood High School in Kirkwood, Missouri. He then went to Washington University in St. Louis, but dropped out to join the US Army. There he was a radio operator for two years in West Germany. After being discharged from the military, he attended the General Motors Institute of Technology and pursued mechanical engineering in the executive junior program. Besides, he had also been doing minor jobs like selling a doo-to-door encyclopedia. After that, he took a trip to Los Angeles where he started his modeling career.

Before that, the same year, he was featured in the movie “Catalina Caper” and “Journey to the Center of Time” as “Alien”. He also landed the role of ‘Mechanical Man’ in an episode of the TV series ‘Lost in Space’.

Her other film credits are 1973’s ‘Love Me Dearly’, 1978’s ‘Zero to Sixty’, 1984’s ‘Surf II’, 1989’s ‘Danger USA’, 1990’s ‘Dream a Little Evil’, and 1991’s ‘Dead Women in Lingerie’. Also, he started working as “Steve Trevor” in the first season of the TV series “Wonder Woman” after a year after leaving Carol Brunett’s show. He has appeared in different series and dramas like ‘Charlie’s Angels’, ‘The San Pedro Beach Bums’, ‘Happy Days’, ‘Mork & Mindy’, ‘The Golden Girls’ and ‘The War at Home’, many ‘others.

After starring in numerous series, in the late 90s Wagoner retired full time. However, he had occasionally made appearances on the series and the shows. In 1993, he hosted an informative commercial TV show ‘Let’s talk with Lyle Waggoner’. Currently he is working as a sculptor and his work can be seen in West Fine Art Galleries in Jackson Hole.
