Luz Sánchez-Mellado is a journalist and writer originally from Alicante who was born on August 3, 1966. She always knew that she wanted to dedicate herself to the world of letters and information, which is why she decided to study journalism at the Complutense University of Madrid ( MCU). Her professional debut came when she was 19 years old, at which time she began to collaborate in the newspaper ‘El País’ , specifically, in the local Madrid news section from Alcalá de Henares.

Since then, his career as a journalist has been closely linked to this means of communication. In fact, she has been writing for ‘El País Semanal’ reports on social issues, personal relationships and interviews with prominent figures in art, science and politics for two decades . Likewise, she also had a vídeo blog, which was presented under the title ‘Los trajes de Luz’, a project where she carried out brief analyzes of some of today’s most prominent figures.

JOURNALIST AND MOTHER

As a journalist, she is also a collaborator of ‘Cadena SER’ , participating in programs such as ‘El Grupo’. An absolutely brilliant career that led her in 2012 to publish in a compilation project the columns she has written for ‘El País’ and the magazine ‘Elle’.

A work that was presented under the title of ‘Stereotypes’ , and where he portrayed profiles of women who survived work, their children, husbands and even their peers. As a writer, it is also worth noting her novel ‘Ciudadano Cortés: A testimony of love, courage and struggle’ , published in 2009.

All this added to her work as a mother, since she has two daughters , which were the fruit of her previous marriage. As far as love is concerned, the communicator divorced the father of her daughters a few years ago. But, it is unknown if at present her heart has been conquered again.

HIS TENSE INTERVIEW WITH MIGUEL BOSÉ

Last 2021 Luz Sánchez-Mellado interviewed the singer Miguel Bosé for the publication of ‘El hijo del capitán Trueno’ , the artist’s long-awaited autobiography. A meeting that was not the most pleasant between the two, something that the journalist from ‘El País’ herself has pointed out. And it is that, things start badly from the beginning, when she asks him if the handwritten letter that appears on the cover is his.

In this regard, Bosé affirms, angry, that he has “several” and that he has chosen that one “because perhaps it is the one that is closest to the child I was, I don’t know why you ask that.” However, everything got worse when Luz asked her if she felt a grudge against her father, because of the love affairs that have marked her life because of her bisexuality. Information that the communicator reminds him that he himself has dealt with in the book. “But not with that tone that you put on it, tabloid and sensationalist,” the singer replied harshly.

But, the situation went from bad to worse. And that, before concluding the interview, Sánchez-Mellado asks him who is his worst enemy, a question that Miguel Bosé does not hesitate to answer sourly. “Right now my worst enemy is you,” he sentenced.
