Born on October 8, 1968 in Bogotá, Colombia, Luis Alfredo Velasco Parra is an actor, director, and manager known artistically as Lucho Velasco. Raised in the city of Cali, he spent several semesters at the Universidad Javeriana de Cali and began his acting career in 1992. It was then that he decided to return to Bogotá to train as an actor.

His first works for the small screen came in 1997 with projects like ‘The Woman in the Mirror’, ‘The Chosen One’ and ‘Love Letters’. An artistic career that grew over the years. In fact, the artist is currently well known among the public for his performances in soap operas such as ‘El cartel’, ‘Rosario Tijeras’, ‘Ruta 35’, ‘La reina del flow’ and ‘Nurses’.

His big screen debut came in 2005, when he was chosen to give life to a character in ‘All men are equal and so are women’. A first project that he later came to work on fiction such as ‘This smells bad’, ‘Bluff’, ‘The gringo’s wedding’, etc. Among his awards, he has been awarded the India Catalina award for ‘Best Antagonistic Actor in a Soap Opera, Series or Miniseries’ for his role in ‘La Reina del Flow’ and ‘Nurses’.
