Little known facts

Lotfi Abdelli began his artistic career as a dancer at the Tunis Conservatory, under the direction of Anne-Marie Sellami, then at the National Theater Ballet, under the direction of Mohamed Driss, at the Tunisian National Ballet, under the direction of Odile Cougoule ( show Histoires d’elles in 1991) and Nawel Skandrani, and with Imed Jemâa in his company, the Théâtre de la danse. He participated as a dancer in the show Hadhra by Fadhel Jaziri.

Controversial character, the media and stage appearances of Lotfi Abdelli do not go unnoticed. On stage as on the sets, the actor calls out and creates controversy with his words and his ideas. Treated as a loudmouth, a vulgar humorist or even an insolent one, Lotfi is either loved or not looked at.

Like many children, when he was little, Lotfi dreamed of becoming a doctor. But very quickly, his dream changes. As a teenager, he imagines himself becoming a dancer.

“ Made In Tunisia ” will see the light of day in 2009. “I never had this idea in mind. But I think that I had to be well established as a performance actor, that I knew how to write texts before thinking about it. When I saw that I had a job behind me, that everyone was asking me to do my own One Man Show, I started thinking about it seriously. This piece I made knowingly. I knew I had mastered the stage, the audience, the writing and the show. »

  • Lotfi Abdelli: “Ali Chouerreb victim of a smear campaign”

Lotfi Abdelli, spoke on Mosaïque Fm to discuss the soap opera ‘Chouereb’ where he plays the main character. He wished to respond to recent statements by Feriel Youssef who had declared that she wishes to withdraw from the soap after having encountered certain problems with the production.

Lotfi Abdelli wonders how an actor retires after filming is over. He specifies that ‘Chouereb’ has 20 episodes and that the role played by Feriel Youssef was very important.

January 2019: Lotfi Abdeli won the Celebrity Awards “Best Tunisian actor in 2018”
