1. He almost gave up football in his youth because he was often told by the Boy Scouts and youth coaches that although he had talent, he was too small to become a professional.

3. In 2010, Napoli agreed to sell Insigne to Lega Pro Prima Divisione Club Foggia in a co-ownership deal. At Foggia he scored 19 goals in 33 games.
