She played Eleanor Roosevelt in the 1982 version of “Annie” and was a hit in Broadway musicals. Actress Lois De Banzie passed away on April 3, 2021, in Greenbrae, California, at the age of 90.

Born on May 4, 1930 in Glasgow, Scotland,  Lois De Banzie made her screen debut in a 1957 episode of Perry Mason and later appeared in well-known series such as The Fugitive .

In cinema, she made her debut as a waitress, in Professor to my measure , and later she appeared as an autograph hunter in Tootsie , and as the first lady of the United States Eleanor Roosevelt in Annie , where she got to sing with the orphan protagonist the famous “Tomorrow”.

Lois De Banzie  also appeared in Arachnophobia and My Buddy Dunston , which was her last job. Her aunt was the celebrated British actress Brenda de Banzie ( The Man She Knew Too Much ). In 1980 she received a Tony nomination for the musical “Morning’s at Seven.”
