Early Life
Liz Truss was born to emeritus professor, John Kenneth, and Priscilla Mary Truss in Oxford, England. Kenneth was a professor of Pure Mathematics at the University of Leeds and her mother was a nurse and teacher. Priscilla Mary Truss was also a member of the Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament.
Truss is the first of four children. She has three younger brothers.

The British woman attended West Primary School after her family moved to Paisley, Renfrewshire, Scotland while she was still four years old. She lived in Paisley from 1979 to 1985.
