Lisa Niemi has her own movie career, but she has been known to be the wife of Patrick Swayze. The couple met when they were children, and since then they have lived a love story interrupted only by the death of the actor at the age of 57.

Lisa Niemi was born on May 26, 1956 in Houston (Texas). She was 15 years old when she enrolled in the dance school of Mrs. Patsy Swayze, mother of actor Patrick Swayze . Patrick was then 18 years old and also went to learn dance with his mother. There he met Lisa and fell in love with her. As if it were a romantic movie, Lisa and Patrick’s youthful relationship evolved and they ended up getting married in June 1975. A lifetime together in which they never expanded the family with children.

Lisa made her acting debut in 1987 in two episodes of the Max Headroom series . She soon after had a small role in Wayne Wang ‘s thriller No Way Out (1987). That same year, she starred with her husband Patrick in The Dawn Warrior , a post-apocalyptic film with touches of science fiction. Subsequently, she modeled in a small role in the comedy The Crazy Adventure of Marriage (1988). A year later she returned to work with her husband, although she did not even appear in the credits, in the action tape In Her Own Law Of Hers.

The science fiction genre again had the presence of Lisa in the Super Force series (1990-1991). After her television experience, Lisa recovered small roles in films in the Live! from Death Row (1992), Younger and Younger (1993) and Letters from a murderer (1988), where she again did not appear in the credits while her husband served as the protagonist. Lisa’s career then went on a hiatus until in 2003 she returned to debut as a producer, writer and director with the romantic drama One Last Dance .. Lisa also starred in this movie where she shared the bill with her husband. The theme served Patrick to demonstrate his great skills as a dancer again, but this time having his beloved Lisa as his dance partner. In this way, the couple demonstrated that before being actors they were dancers, a world from which they never disassociated themselves despite the fact that the bug for acting ended up biting both of them.

After this work, Lisa has only been seen in the unknown Beat Angel (2004) about a spirit that returns to Earth to help a writer, something somewhat reminiscent of Ghost, the great success of her husband. In early 2008 Lisa’s life changed drastically when her husband Patrick was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. Since then they have fought with all their might to defeat the disease, which unfortunately has not happened. But if there is something that did not die on September 14, it was the love that this couple professed. At least, this was what Patrick Swayze stated in an interview he gave to Barbara Walters in January 2009. The actor said that love is the only thing you can take with you when you die. Patrick also took advantage of this interview to say that he and Lisa had just renewed their vows in a “fairy tale” ceremony to which he attended on a white horse like a true prince charming. So if anything Lisa has had for most of her life, It has been Patrick’s love. They loved each other on and off the screen, which is hard to top even for the best romantic movie script.
