Lisa J. Ling is the name of an American journalist and writer who is best known for her role as the host of the television show Our America with Lisa Ling on OWN: The Oprah Winfrey Network. In addition, she has also been a host for National Geographic Explorer, a reporter for Channel One News, a former co-host of ABC’s The View from 1999 to 2002. She has also been a special correspondent for The Oprah Winfrey Show and for CNN. She has also been the host of the reality television show called The Job. She has been the popular host in the American television arena as she has hosted several of the most popular television shows so far.

Born in the year 173, on August 30 in Sacramento, California, Lisa Ling is an American by nationality and of Asian ethnicity. Ella Dough’s father is a Chinese immigrant during the 1920s and her mother Mary Mei-yan is a Taiwanese immigrant. Her parents divorced when she was seven years old and her sister Laura was four. She and her sister were raised by her father in Sacramento after her parents’ divorce. She graduated from Del Campo High School and the University of Southern California. Her sister Laura is also a journalist.
