1. He started rapping at the age of 7. At the age of 12 he was asked by Lil Wayne to open his concert in Tyler, Texas.
2. Lil Wayne was so impressed with his skills that he flew him to Atlanta to see how good he was in the recording studio. He was eventually signed to Wayne’s Young Money record label.
3. At the age of 10 he released his first single, The Texas Twist, which managed to stay at the top of the Dallas music charts for 6 weeks.
4. In 2011, renowned hip-hop magazine XXL featured him in their Freshman Class, which showcases the year’s most promising hip-hop talent.
5. In July 2013, he was arrested in Calabasas, California, after he was caught driving his friend Justin Bieber’s car in a zone where the speed was limited to 30 mph.
6. In March 2015, Lil Twist was arrested and charged with two counts of assault with a deadly weapon, burglary, grand larceny, battery and making criminal threats.
