- In 2000 he founded his own record label, BME Recordings . He signed a distribution deal with Georgia-based Norcross Music Distribution .
- In 2006, he announced that he had ended his recording contract with TVT . He claimed record label owner Steve Gottlieb understaffed him.
- In 2013, he partnered with Zumba Fitness to start a new nightclub tour known as the Zumba Nightclub Series . As part of the deal, he also created work singles for Zumba Fitness.
- In 2007, he managed to get a spot on the Guinness Book of World Records with the largest diamond pendant, measuring 7.5 inches tall, 6 inches wide, 1 inch thick and weighing 5.11 pounds. It was worth $500,000 and set with 73 carats of diamonds.
- He has his own drink called Crunk Juice , which was essentially an energy drink infused with alcohol. Apparently the drink was as strong as wine and British police had to issue a warning for the drink.
- In 2008, he announced his new venture, Lil Jonatan’s Winery . His winery had a collection of Merlot and Chardonnay wines.
- In October 2015 he launched his exclusive app, VEXT which allowed users to create a video clip with soundboard style video clips and clips that could be easily shared via SMS.
- He has also participated in the 11th and 13th seasons of the popular show, Celebrity Apprentice . He placed 4th in season 11 and 3rd in season 13.
- After returning from St. Joseph’s University , he began DJing at many of Georgia’s hip-hop clubs.
