- During his high school years, he was a member of the school’s basketball team.
- He grew up in the rough neighborhood of Englewood in Chicago. Violence and gang crime are a part of everyday life in Englewood.
- When he was 17, he was jailed for gun possession.
- Very early in his career, he relied on social media platforms such as YouTube and Myspace to launch his career. When he received a positive response to the music video he created when he was 14 or 15 years old, he realized he was going to do something with music.
