American film director, screenwriter and producer, Len Wiseman is known for his work on Underworld (2003) and its sequels Evolution of the Underworld (2006), Underworld: Rise of the Lycans (2009), Underworld: Awakening (2012) and Underworld: Blood Wars (2016). He has also directed and produced other hit series including Hawaii Five-0 (2010) and Max Steel (2013).Wiseman earned a 2002 MTV Video Music Awards nomination for Best Art Direction for Quarashi’s ‘Stick ‘Em Up’. He was also nominated for a Music Video Production Association (MVPA) Award in the Best Director category for Rufus Wainwright’s ‘Across the Universe.’ As of 2018, Wiseman is possibly single; previously, he was married to kindergarten teacher, Dias , and British actress, Kate Beckinsale .
Early life and education of Len Wiseman
Len Wiseman was born as Len Ryan Wiseman on March 4, 1973 in Fremont, California, United States. He is the son of Loren Wiseman and Janice Wiseman .
Wiseman went to American High School. He later studied film at De Anza College in Cupertino, California.
Len Wiseman’s career
Len Wiseman began his acting career, appearing in the 1991 short film, One Against the Wind . He later worked as a property assistant on numerous Roland Emmerich films: Stargate (1994); Independence Day ( 1996); and Godzilla (1998).
Wiseman created an ad for Sony and directed music videos for artists like Megadeth, En Vogue , and Static X. He earned a 2002 MTV Video Music Awards nomination for Best Art Direction for Quarashi ‘s ‘Stick ‘Em Up’.
At the time, Beckinsale was in a long-term relationship with the Welsh actor. Michael Sheen and father of a 17-year-old daughter, Lily , while Len Wiseman was in a marital relationship with Dana.
Wiseman and Beckinsale parted ways with their respective partners and got married. However, after being together for over 11 years, it was announced that they were separating on November 20, 2015. They filed for divorce in 2016.
