Lawrence continued his career as a journalist but also took an active part in his career as a writer. He also wrote a book called Deadly Force, which was later even adapted into a movie. He later wrote for a television drama called The West Wing for which he wrote 16 episodes. From 1999 to 2000 he worked as story editor for 12 episodes, he produced about 17 episodes from 2003-2005.

O’Donnell and Harrold have a daughter together named Elizabeth Buckley Harrold O’Donnell. The former couple did not reveal the real reason for the divorce. They choose not to talk about it and have said nothing about it.

The television personality now seems to be evolving. He is currently dating Tamron Hall who is also a broadcast journalist. They currently live together.
