Lassaâd Ben Abdallah, born in 1958 in Tunis, is a Tunisian theater director. He founded the Cith’art company in 1987, upon obtaining his diploma following theatrical studies at the Higher Institute of Dramatic Art.

On the boards or on the screen, Ben Abdallah can boast of a long career and a remarkable creative journey. With the Compagnie Cith’art and Nadia Ben Ahmed, his lifelong accomplice, he has staged arduous works and experimental theatre.

At the head of the Théâtre du Kef, he multiplied productions and dared to the point of suffering the wrath of censorship for “Bakhara”, a powerful work full of allusions which, in his own way, underlined the ras-le- bowl of a whole people. In cinema and television, Ben Abdallah has always demonstrated his ability to take on all the roles and his very fine compositions of his characters.
