Before he even played basketball, Lance Stephenson had established himself as one of the most promising stars on the East Coast. His performances in street tournaments had only heightened enthusiasm for his skills. Then, in high school, he excelled and led Lincoln High to an unprecedented 4th straight Public Schools Athletic League title. After a year of college basketball, he joined the Indiana Pacers . He played some of the best basketball players of his career with the Pacers . In 2014 he decided to leave Pacers and then he hopped around and played for 5 NBA ‘s within 3 yearsteams before returning to the Pacers in 2017. However, he didn’t stay long and joined the Los Angeles Lakers in 2018.

- He first caught the attention of basketball scouts when he was 12. He was putting on solid performances at the Rumble in the Bronx AAU tournament when veteran talent evaluator Clark Francis noticed him.
- In his freshman year of high school, he was invited to attend the Adidas ABCD Camp . At camp, he gave a glimpse of his brash and confident personality when he challenged professional basketball player OJ Mayo to a singles game.
- In his freshman year at Abraham Lincoln High School Stephenson, the basketball team led to a city championship.
- Since he helped Lincoln High become champions in both his sophomore and junior year, his talent was recognized as a Player of the Year honor by the New York Daily News .
