Lance Bass is an American dancer, actress, singer, writer, and television producer who rose to prominence for his role as the bassist in American boy band NSYNC. As the band became very successful with their hits, most of the band members, including Lance Bass, were able to pursue acting and launch their careers in film and television. Lance Bass has acted in a number of films including the 2001 film In the Wire where he acted alongside bandmate Joey Fatone. Other films and TV shows he has been in include So Good People (2014), Review (2014), White Dwarf (2014), Gravity Falls (2012),Tropical Thunder (2008), Cursed (2005) and Zoolander (2001).
Lance Bass also has a production company called Lance Bass Productions and also owns a music management company known as Free Lance Entertainment which is not a separate company but shares profits with Mercury Records. He won the 2001 Golden Apple Award for Male Discovery of the Year and the 2003 Gridlock Award at the MTV TRL Awards. He was also nominated for a Teen Choice Awards for his role in On the Line (2001).

- He was recruited by Justin Timberlake, a member of a boy band, to join the group NSYNC when original bass vocalist Jason Galasso left the group. He contacted Bass about Justin’s vocal coach, who had worked with Bass when he was a member of the Mississippi Show Stoppers.
- Lance is afraid of flying and gets very nervous when he gets on a plane.
