Lamont Smith is a former American college basketball coach. He also played basketball during his college years with the San Diego Toreros from 1995 to 1999. After graduating, he began his career as a coach. He was best known as an assistant coach at the University of Texas at El Paso for UTEP and head coach for the University of San Diego.
