Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta was born in 1986 in New York, coming from a family of Italian descent. At the age of three she began to play the piano and at thirteen she composed her first song. Educated Catholic, she studied at the historic Convent of the Sacred Heart, on 91st Street and 5th Avenue. It seems that she was an excellent student, although she had some eccentricities and did not feel adapted. Already in her first years at school, music occupied a prominent place in her life. At school she acted in numerous musicals and at the age of 15 she appeared briefly in an episode of The Sopranos.. The following year she decided to sing in some places, without success. After finishing school and at the behest of her mother, he enrolled in the Tisch School of Dramatic Arts at New York University. Although at that time she began to have problems with bulimia and anorexia, the future star she managed to be accepted and she studied music and wrote different essays, but she soon realized that she was more creative than most of the students. At the  end  of the second year she dropped out and decided to devote herself to music. According to her own account with her foul-mouthed tone: “I abandoned my family, rented the cheapest apartment I could find and ate shit until someone listened to me”. It was the summer of 2005.

He soon formed a music group that had a certain impact in New York environments. Producer Rob Fusari noticed her and, once the band was dissolved, she began working on her solo songs with Fusari. It was around that time that she created her new name “Lady Gaga”, inspired by the song “Radio GaGa” by Freddie Mercury. Already converted into who she was going to be, the young woman lost her hair and began to define that outlandish and provocative look that made her famous, she began to do go-go performances and experiment with drugs. She wrote songs for Britney Spears, Fergie or The Pussycat Dolls and soon after she moved to Los Angeles, where she would rise to world fame.
