KWASU Now Offers Medicine & Surgery, 23 Other Courses
KWASU now offers Medicine and Surgery as NUC has accredited the course along with 23 others upon resumption of the 2022/2033 session.

Prospective medical students of the institution can now proceed to take on their dream course as KWASU now offers Medicine and Surgery after over a decade of its establishment.
The National Universities Commission (NUC) recently approved the inclusion of MBBS Medicine and Surgery along with 23 other undergraduate and postgraduate courses in the institution’s programme.
Prior to this time, students who sought to study courses like Medicine and Surgery, Chemistry/Physics Education, and some other engineering courses have been disappointed after finding out that the institution was limited in its curriculum.
The recent approval was however contained in a letter addressed to the Vice-Chancellor, KWASU, Professor Muhammed Mustapha-Akanbi SAN signed by the Director of Academic Planning, Dr N.B Saliu at the behest of the Executive Secretary of NUC.

Other courses approved are B.Sc. Aquaculture and Fisheries Management, B.Sc. Taxation, B.Sc. Peace Studies and Conflict Resolution, B.Eng. Food Engineering, B.Ed. Educational Management, B.A. Ed. in English Education, Christian Studies Education, Arabic Education, French Education, Islamic Studies Education, and Yoruba Education.
NUC equally accredited the following undergraduate courses: B.Sc. Ed. in Computer Science Education, Mathematics Education, Agricultural Education, Biology Education, Chemistry Education, and Physics Education.
The commission approved all 24 courses in KWASU after thorough verification exercises at the University. The commission’s accreditation, therefore, proves that the institution has the needed human and material resources for the establishment of the abovelisted programmes.
All 24 courses will therefore be offered with effect from the 2022/2013 academic session which has already begun after the 8-month-break as a result of the ASUU strike.
