King Kong Bundy, real name Christopher Alan Pallies, was an American professional wrestler, actor and comedian. Additionally, he also goes by many ring names including Big Daddy Bundy, Chris Canyon, Boom Boom Bundy, and Man Mountaine Cannon, Jr. He began his career as a wrestler in the mid-1980s in the World Wrestling Federation ( WWF).

Additionally, in 1987, he also headlined the first Survivor series, as well as the first edition of Intense Championship Wrestling’s flagship show, 1993’s ‘November to Remember’. Apart from that, he joined a class action lawsuit filed in July 2016 against WWE. The petition alleged that the wrestlers suffered long-term neurological injuries and many more. However, the case was dismissed by U.S. District Judge Vanessa Lynne Bryant in September 2018.

The late professional wrestler was born on November 7, 1955 as Christopher Alan Pallies in Woodbury, New Jersey. He did not provide any information about his parents or his early years. Pallies had two sisters and three brothers including her brother Jeff. His brother was also a member of the wrestling team that had wrestled for Glassboro State (now as Rowan University).

Regarding his education, he attended Washington Township High School in Sewell, New Jersey. From college, he had graduated in 1973. While in Washington Township, he joined the HWT on the wrestling team and won two regional titles.

Moving on to his professional life, he began his wrestling career with the World Wrestling Federation on March 7, 1981 under the ring name “Chris Canyon”. After that, he traveled to Texas and joined World Class Championship Wrestling and got the stage name ‘Big Daddy Bundy’. In early 1985, he began appearing in WWF Championship Wrestling after making a few appearances in New Japan Pro Wrestling/World Wrestling Federation.

After playing a handful of matches, he had semi-retired in 1988 from the WWF and returned in the fall of 1994 as a member of Ted DiBiase’s stable, The Million Dollar Corporation. During his hiatus from the WWF, he wrestled in the main event of Eastern Championship Wrestling’s first Supercard November to Remember. Additionally, he made appearances for the United States Wrestling Association.

Big Daddy Bundy officially retired from his wrestling career in 2007. After his retirement, he began his career as a stand-up comedian and performed regularly at various comedy clubs including Coffee Dot Comedy, based in Sea Isle City. He had starred in some TV shows and appeared in commercials. His acting credit includes a guest role in ‘Married… with Children’, the 1988 film ‘Moving’ and the Norwegian TV show ‘Golden GOAL!’.

The late retired wrestler was divorced and married to his ex-wife Marcy Russell. The couple married in 1994 and separated in 2002. However, they have not publicly revealed many details about their married life. Moreover, he shared a son named David from his married life. Additionally, he was a cat lover and had stroked about ten cats at the time of his death.

Death:

The wrestler’s manager, David Herro, broke the news of his death via a Facebook post. Additionally, he died at the age of 63 on March 4, 2019, in Glassboro, New Jersey, due to diabetes-related complications.
