NAACP Award-winning American actress, Kimberly Elise is popularly known for her role in the movie Beloved. Elise made her acting debut in 1995 on the television series Newton’s Apple. A year later, she made her big screen debut in the film Set It Off. She has since then acted in numerous TV series/movies and has been nominated for several prestigious awards. Elise is dating Kevin Anthony Johnson . She was previously married to Maurice Oldham with whom she shares two daughters.

Elise was previously married to her late husband, Maurice Oldham in 1989. The couple share two daughters. Her first daughter, Ajableu Arial Oldham was born on March 16, 1990, while her second daughter, Mariposa Rose Oldham was born on October 19, 1998.
In 2005, the couple divorced citing irreconcilable differences. Two years later, her ex-husband died of a huge blood clot.
Kimberly Elise was also rumored to be dating Shemar Moore , actor but the duo never confirmed their relationship.
In addition, Elise’s acting is also busy with her charity work. She has worked with PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals), an animal rights organization to promote the lifestyle.
