The accomplished goalkeeper Keylor Navas currently plays goalkeeper for his current team Real Mardird and the Costa Rica national team. His association with Madrid brought imminent success to both him and the club. The 27-year-old Costa Rican international of Levante, Keylor Navas, is considered the best goalkeeper in Europe. He is considered one of the most confident, active and playful goalkeepers in CONCACAF. The footballer played the 2014 and 2018 FIFA World Cup for his country. Early life and childhood of Keylor Navas
Keylor Navas was born Keylor Antonio Navas Gamboa in Pérez Zeledón, San José, Costa Rica, on December 15, 1986. He was raised in his hometown of Pérez Zeledón along with his family.
Navas belongs to multiple nationalities such as Spanish and Costa Rican and in terms of her ethnicity, she is of mixed ethnic origin.
Navas began his early soccer career by joining the Costa Rican sports club Deportivo Saprissa in 2005.
Keylor Navas’ professional career
Keylor Navas began his career in professional soccer playing for Deportivo Saprissa on November 6, 2005, in a league match against the Asociación Deportiva Carmelita. He was picked in his last two seasons with the club, where he won seven major titles including six national championships.
In July 2010, Navas signed a contract with Albacete Balompie. He only missed six second division games out of 42 during the season. Navas arrived in La Liga, where he was loaned to Levante UD for a year in the 2011-12 campaign. Navas played his first match for the club in the competition on May 13, 2012 against Athletic Bilbao.
Navas was also part of the 2003 FIFA U-17 World Championship held in Finland. He was invited to the senior team for the first time in August 2006 to play a friendly tournament in Europe against Austria and Switzerland, but won his first cap two years later.
His wife Andrea is a model and was also crowned Miss Hawaiian Tropic in 2006. She also worked as a model for various well known magazines like SoHo. The couple welcomed their first child, a son, Mateo Navas in March 2014. They also have a daughter named Daniela Navas Salas .
