1. He started playing basketball at a young age. Love watched tapes of Wes Unseld, a former NBA star who played for the Baltimore/Washington Bullets. He also trained his bounce passes with a cardboard box.
2. In his sophomore year at Lake Oswego, Kevin averaged 25.3 points and 15.4 rebounds per match.
3. He was voted Gatorade National Athlete of the Year. That same year, Love was selected to the first-team, Parade All-American.
4. Prior to his involvement with UCLA’s athletic program, Kevin also considered playing for North Carolina.
