TEACHING OF KERNEY THOMAS
Most of his teachings are about faith and prosperity. Pastor Thomas offers in faith ‘prayer handkerchiefs’ and ‘personal prayer packs’ as a ‘point of contact’. This “touch point” is a way to manifest a miracle in someone’s life by increasing faith in the healing and restoring power of Jesus Christ. In reality, he advocates for the bath (with a powerful relationship to Christians).
Other miracles he claims to have taken place through his ministry are the provision of unexpected payments that occur for no reason and the resolution of marital troubles. For example, during a Thomas Crusade, a woman claimed she desperately needed a job and to be separated from her abusive husband. After calling Thomas, she said she received a job offer from a security company 25 minutes later.

Thomas also claims to be a prophet of God and encourages viewers of his shows to send a seed of faith (usually cash) to receive increased blessings from God similar to the Bible’s Word of Faith. He argues that the more individuals are blessed, the more seeds believers sow in the ministry of God. Indeed, he encourages viewers to come first to him.
Thomas often quotes the Bible scriptures Acts 19:11-12, which describe the special miracles God allowed the Apostle Paul to perform using aprons and handkerchiefs. This scripture is used as the basis for his “Red Blood of Jesus Bible” allowance prayer handkerchiefs. Thomas also uses the airtime to ask his ministry for donations to Africa and many other places in the United States.
It uses a comprehensive home delivery system to send generic type letters to those who have called into its automated telephone system. Callers leave their name and email address and send a red prayer handkerchief. Callers are told to return the handkerchief to Thomas after twenty-four hours with their name and phone number written on it, making it a “point of contact”.
Thomas is a frequent practitioner of Glossolalia or Tongue Donation. In response to calls from his “Miracle Prayer Line”, where he invites people with medical, economic and family issues to call, he often does so on his TV show and shouts and shouts in a high pitched voice. After the caller explained their problem, Thomas prays for them, some were healed instantly.
