Two battles with breast cancer taught Kate Jackson to restructure her life, realign her priorities and take good care of herself. “Cancer taught me to rearrange my life,” Kate said in an interview in the current issue of Redbook. ‘It taught me what is important and what is not.’ As part of this reorganization, Kate Jackson sold her Beverly Hills home for $2.4 million and purchased a 125-acre retreat in Keswick, Virginia.
At the moment, she neither smokes nor drinks, sleeps a lot, adheres to daily aerobic training and avoids fat, instead of eating mainly fish, cereals and fruits. “I don’t want the anxiety I was living with. That’s why I rarely watch the news and that’s why I moved to Virginia. I don’t want to have the stress of knowing too much. »

KATE JACKSON CHARLIES ANGELS
Kate met Rookies producers Aaron Spelling and Leonard Goldberg in 1975. The three had to discuss her contractual responsibility to star in another television series for Spelling/Goldberg Productions after that show was canceled. Leonard told her about a series available – because ‘every network has passed it’, The Alley Cats.
After discussion, Aaron and Kate came up with the idea of naming the series Charlie Angles. She based these on a three-angle picture wall in her home.
She was first cast as Kelly Garrett in Charlies Angels, but cast Sabrina Duncan instead. The show’s huge success saw Jackson Kate, Smith and Farrah Fawcett-Majors appear on the cover of Time magazine.
On March 21, 1976, the show aired as Movie of the Week before going to series on September 22, 1976. In the series, the star is Kate. It was because of her acting background considering she was on Rookie for 4 years. Because of this, her original role as Kelly Garrett was highlighted in the pilot film, which was originally to be played by Kate.
She was offered the role of Meryl Streep in the feature film Kramer vs. Kramer at the start of the third season of Charlie’s Angels. However, she was forced to refuse because Aaron Spelling told her that they were unable to rearrange the hit show’s shooting schedule to give her time to make the film.
At the end of the third season, Kate left the show saying, ‘I’ve served it well and it’s served me well, now it’s time to go.’ Actress Shelley Hack was chosen to replace her.
KATE JACKSON DARK SHADOWS
Dark Shadows is a gothic soap opera that airs weekdays on ABC television. The series aired from June 27, 1966 to April 2, 1971. She played the role of Daphne Harridge in the opera series. Kate joined the cast of Dark Shadows in her senior year, which is 1970-1971.
Dark Shadows stands out as being one of the few classic soap operas to have all but one of its episodes survive intact. A total of 1,225 episodes were produced but, during its run, the show was grabbed 20 times.
ABC would compensate by occasionally skipping, double-numbering and, in one case, triple-numbering episodes to keep a show ending in 5 or 0 airing on Fridays.
