For his immense contribution to Leicester City winning their first league title in history, Kasper Schmeichel was rewarded with a lucrative deal with US shoe manufacturer New Equilibrium . As part of the deal, the Boston-based company has launched New Balance Furon boots and Bright Cherry Furon goalie gloves.

He also has a sponsorship deal with Precision Goalie. He has been associated with the Nottingham-based brand since 2010. Kasper has its own line of goalkeeper gloves, Schmeichology 5, which is distributed by Precision. The company later introduced a new product in this line – the Fusion Scholar gloves.

Personal trainer

Kasper has revealed that the intensity of his gym training depends on the day of his matches. He explained that if he plays on Saturday, his Monday and Tuesday workouts will be very intense and harder. He would set Wednesday as the day off. The training sessions on Thursday and Friday are very light as the focus is mainly on the technical and mental aspects of the game.

In the same interview, he also revealed that he rarely does the same exercise or workout on consecutive days, or even on the same day. The key is to guess the body and remove any body response according to muscle memory.

The workout routines mostly consist of full body movements and explosive movements. He also tries different exercises that improve his balance while improving strength. He occasionally incorporates boxing into his fitness regime to work on core and reactions. On Thursday evenings he practices yoga to improve flexibility and work on mental attributes.
