Journalism career
Kasie Hunt worked as a writer before turning to broadcast journalism. She began her career as an intern for NBC news. She was also a health policy reporter for the National Journal’s CongressDaily, where she wrote about the passage of the Affordable Care Act.
After that, she worked for Politico, covering the Republican nomination race in Iowa and New Hampshire, as well as the 2010 midterm elections. In 2011, she began working as a national political reporter for the Associated Press in August 2011, and later covered Mitt Romney’s 2012 presidential campaign.
According to Hunt, Matt proposed that she take a knee. The couple got married on May 6, 2017 in Shenandoah Woods. . Hunt danced with her 91-year-old grandfather in the bride’s acoustic guitar performance.
