Parker shared the big news of their engagement in October 2015, on Twitter after it was officially released by his colleague. When Al Roker found an official statement about it on his website, he announced their engagement on the “America Morning Headquarters” show.

She wrote: ‘Soon I will be marrying a Cajun guy who has a thing for hurricanes. Yes, we are a couple of nerdy meteorologists. Speaking of Kait funding Michael Lowry, he is an American meteorologist who works for The Weather Channel. He is known as the hurricane specialist or storm expert. Prior to that, he worked at NOAA’s National Hurricane Center in Miami, Florida.

Mr. Lowry grew up in New Orleans, near the Mississippi. Later hurricanes inspired him to pursue a career in the field. His career began when he was in Washington, as a weather expert for the US Department of Defense, working to protect US interests from hurricane threats around the world.

Kait and Michael don’t have a baby yet. It looks like they aren’t quite ready for a baby anytime soon.
