Born on May 8, 1981 in Izmir, Turkey, Kaan Urgancıoğlu is a Turkish actor who has gained great recognition among the public for his audiovisual projects. On a personal level, he is the eldest son in the family and has a twin brother. Professionally, he always knew that he wanted to dedicate himself to the world of acting, but he decided to combine his theatrical studies with studies in capital markets and the stock market at the University of Marmara.
His first professional project as an actor came with the TV series ‘Karaoğlan’. A first contact with the entertainment industry that was not bad at all, in fact, this allowed him to dramatize nine additional roles in different series and movies before finishing his professional career. Later, he moved to New York City to study acting at the ‘Stella Adler Studio of Acting’ and ‘Kadir Has Üniversitesi’.In addition, he participated in the play ‘Ara’.
But, his great rise to fame did not come until 2015 , when he was one of the protagonists of the series ‘Kara Sevda’, in which he played Emir Kozcuoglu. In fact, such was his international fame that he won ‘Best Supporting Actor’ by Ayaklı Newspaper Awards. An overwhelming fiction that was even seen in more than 110 countries and translated into more than 50 languages.
Among his most recent works is the Netflix series ‘Love 101’, where he worked with stars such as Pinar Deniz, Mert Yazicioglu and Alina Boz.
